Latin name: Pouteria pachycarpa, Planchonella pachycarpa

Origin: South America-Brazil & Amazonian Basin

Characteristics: Color is straw yellow and very uniform. Generally produced as quarters and some logs have very heavy consistent fiddleback figure. Because of the bright yellow color it is often dyed.

Uses: Architectural woodwork and fine furniture.
