Origin: Southeastern United States

Characteristics: Heartwood is a medium yellow color with a very defined grain structure often with a very narrow heart making it also suitable for quarter grain. Also known as Carolina Pine and is the hardest of the pine species. Has significant demand in Europe.

Use: Architectural woodwork and fine furniture.
