Albizia

Latin name: Albizia julibrissin

Origin: Africa

Characteristics: An often overlooked African specie, Albizia has a rich golden brown to grey/taupe color and a subtle but dramatic stripe that is often “twisted” in appearance. It is not sliced into veneer in great volume but is generally quarter cut and special logs can resemble “Koa” or “Australian Walnut” under a finish. 

Uses: Architectural Woodwork, furniture and doors.
