Characteristics: Color varies from pale yellow to brownish-red with significant movement in dramatics black lines making the appearance of bumps “monkey ears” giving the appearance of being spalted. Some of these logs develop a dramatic fiddleback figure.

Uses: Architectural woodwork and fine furniture.
